Hope Foundation for Education took part in “Jerusalem Waqfs/Endowments Conference” held in Istanbul on May 8-9, 2017, organized by General Directorate of Endowments, under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and in the presence of the President of the Republic; Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In his opening speech, he stressed the importance of sponsoring the Jerusalem waqfs to support the steadfastness of the Palestinians in the Holy City.
The first and second days of the conference included the presentation of several papers, studies and reports related to Jerusalem Waqfs through local and international participation in this regard. The attendees unanimously agreed on various points at the end of the meeting, the most important of which was the establishment of a center for developing the imprisoned Islamic waqfs to serve the city of Jerusalem.
