Given the world's scientific and technical advancement and the fact that societies are sending patients with brain and spinal problems to the foreign countries, we have decided to institute this laboratory. As there are several compatriots who studied in foreign countries and after graduation wanted to return to their countries to serve their own people. These expatriates come with different experiences and desire to teach their fellow graduates what they have learned from international universities. This raises the scientific progress level of the graduates. Therefore, attention must be paid to this laboratory in terms of building and furnishing it according to the international rules and principles of conducting scientific experiments.
Stem cell laboratories in advanced hospitals are one of the most paramount laboratories for developing scientific studies and writing reports, because they are the circle of hope to which scientific progress of the country is attached, and by which patients are given hope to retrieve their normal life in light of the development of research on brain cells. So, we prepared this project as a starting point for larger and greater projects that will pave the way for physicians to run practical experiments on stem cells and write their research towards scientific development.
- Create and implement a stem cell laboratory capable of conducting and carrying out research on human stem cells.
- Develop procedures for isolation and cultivation of stem cells derived from tissues.
- Test the immunogenicity of tissue-derived stem cells.
- Strengthen the capabilities of researchers in medical laboratories in the field of stem cell work.
- Develop and promote research focusing on the potential of stem cell treatment.
- Provide the opportunity for distinguished researchers and doctors in the Gaza Strip to deal with stem cells.
- Invest creativity in students and mobilize new ideas in stem cell research.
- Create stem cell lines from patients for treatment testing.
- Intractable injuries due to the deteriorating health status.
- Deterioration of health conditions in Arab communities.
- Having highly qualified doctors who desire to conduct scientific research on stem cells.
- The return of several competent expatriates to serve their homeland.
The beneficiaries of this laboratory are male and female students from the faculties of medicine, health sciences, nursing, teachers in the faculties of medicine and health sciences, nursing, doctors, researchers, technicians, interested people from the local community, patients and people with disabilities.
